Lunch is provided. This weed tour is geared towards the public and weed managers.
We will host the 11th annual Watershed Festival on Friday, June 26 at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds from 11 am to 4 pm. The Watershed Festival gives families a chance to connect with and learn about organizations serving the county while enjoying outdoor summer fun. Over 25 organizations, like the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, come together to share the work they do with the community as well as provide family activities like soil painting, birdhouse building, and flower dissecting. A scavenger hunt will send kids searching for facts about Wallowa County and reward fact-finders with a prize for completing the search. Kids can get up close and personal with birds of prey, make mini-tepees, paint a watershed and construct their own birdhouse.
Wallowa Valley Music Alliance will provide local musicians get us dancing and singing along too. Don't miss this family-fun summer event!
The 7th annual Barn Dance is a our yearly fundraiser event and a celebration of all our hard work in our community - maintaining our working lands, fostering the next generation, and putting people back to work.
Join us at the Blue Barn Farm (63327 Tenderfoot Valley Rd) in Joseph from 5pm 'til late. Enjoy local food from Zane Anderson and Backyard Gardens. Dance the night away with Henry Kinsley and his Band. Bid on local wares and adventures.
